Klingon / Lyran Alliance Formed

Quo'nos - 77.5.12 - The following message was broadcast across Klingon territory announcing an alliance between the Klingon and Lyran Empires.

Citizens of the Klingon Empire:
It is a glorious time for us all. Once again, we have met the challenge of war and have defeated our enemies with overwhelming strength and honor. Cilya Heavy Industries is no more. We have seized their base, scattered their fleet, and captured their leaders. Their ships have run in terror at the sight of our forces. It is a message to all that the Klingon Empire is a force not to be messed with. The Lyrans see us for the proud warriors that we are. And we have seen them for noble and honorable people.
Emperor Growwwlll'hrrrrth (Sound of lion coughing) and his people have proven themselves time and time again in battle with the Carnivon. Our two races are warriors. Our two races are brothers. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I hereby announce a union between the Klingon Empire and the Lyran Alliance. With a mutual defense treaty, our two forces will meet any threats from abroad. With a trade agreement, our economies will prosper. This will create 10,000,000 new jobs and enhance our already powerful infrastructures. Our ships will be stronger. Our defenses will be stronger. May this usher in a new era of prosperity for us all.
